Born in Vila Nova de Famalicão, Portugal, Tiago Alves Costa is a writer, playwright and associate professor at BAU – Centre Universitari d’Arts i Disseny in Barcelona. His work explores contemporary themes such as precariousness, acceleration, economic obsession, and the emotional and linguistic consequences of late capitalism.

His plays blend documentary material with poetic language, drawing on absurd theatre and political fiction.
